Ah awaiting the new season to begin on the east coast. Our first faire for the year isn't until March. And it seems like it's forever away. We're keeping busy with various tasks, such as decorating staffs and such. Mine was decorated a few years ago, but Lord Garrett and Sir Aidan were all natural this past season. One rainy and cold Saturday we decided to have an art day. And of course Sir Aidan couldn't resist posing with his newly decorated wolf staff.

In December we traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains and discovered a tornado had passed through the area. Many trees and branches had been knocked to the ground. We saw it as a gift from the GreenMan. Wind powered limbs ready to be harvested for walking sticks, a staff or two, and perhaps some wooden runes too boot. We just need to wait a little while for them to dry out. I wonder if we can carve a little tornado on the top of one of them. Hmm.

We're also in search of a new sporan button to replace the one Lord Garrett lost. And I'm contemplating new boots.

The big question for the planning is finding a costume for Sir Aidan. He's growing like a weed and I'm sure his current costume will be too small when it comes time to "play dress up". He did mention last year that he wanted a kilt like his Daddy. I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
